The failure mode
When one phase drops, a running three-phase motor draws heavily on the remaining two. Nothing trips immediately; the windings simply overheat until they fail.
How ours responds
Phase-loss detection sits in the controller as standard. The unit sees the lost phase, starts, and transfers the load before the motor is damaged.
What the alternatives cost
Generac, Kohler, Cummins and Champion all handle this with a separate phase-loss relay — USD 80–200 per unit, plus field wiring on every installation.
